Buen Camino! I am Martin and I am a Pilgrim/Peregrino. I have walked El Camino Frances and finished El Camino Portuguese Coastal route 1 – 10 September 2024. I’ve walked the Frances and just recently completed El Camino Portuguese Coastal. To be honest, both will take you to a breakdown phase, building back phase, self-awareness phase. I had to allow myself to experience each phase, learn from each phase and set a plan on how to live simply, with no extra baggage. I stopped to enjoy the scenery, listen to fellow Peregrinos, taste the different foods, good or bad enjoy the different smells.
Being a full-time employee, I base my walks on my saved vacation days. This is why I go through SantiagoWays for all my itineraries, stays, dates. Routes are suggested but as long as you get to your accommodations for the night, all is good. With Santiago Ways I had a Peace of Mind for my stays, baggage transfers, free breakfast and they do have a plan to also add a free dinner.
2025, I plan to do my third Camino, planning on El Camino Norte if time allows. To you all in the planning phase, keep it simple, slow and steady, enjoy your time.
